Recipes from around the web: Super Simple Salmon

Last night we were in the mood for salmon other than our usual go-to Succulent Salmon (Moroccan Salmon) recipe. So we were browsing our go-to site,, and found this terrific gem:

It took about five minutes (if that long) to throw the three spice ingredients together (hey, I’m slow!), but I was amazed how accurate the directions were. Five minutes of frying on each side, and BAM! Instant dinner. We added some rice and grilled zucchini to balance out the meal, and it was fantastic. An instant classic, one that I will be sure to make many times over! We skipped the lemon this time, but I’m sure we’ll try it another time.

Super Simple Salmon


Prep time: 5 minutes  •  Cook time: 10 minutes • Yields 4 servings



  1. Stir together the garlic powder, basil, and salt in a small bowl; rub in equal amounts onto the salmon fillets.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat; cook the salmon in the butter until browned and flaky, about 5 minutes per side. Serve each piece of salmon with a lemon wedge.
