Here are tips on getting extra exercise while slowly building up stamina:

TIP #10 – SET A GOAL:  Setting goals are what keep you motivated. Pick an accomplishment that you want to achieve.  It might be to walk 30 minutes quickly, at a brisk pace.  Maybe it would be to build up and take part in a 5k (3.1 miles) walk or run.  Whatever it may be write down your goal, tell a friend, or sign up for the event, and work toward achieving your goal.

TIP #11 – JUST REWARDS: Reward yourself for achieving your goal.

Here are a few ways to stay motivated while focusing on your goal:

TIP #10- BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!!  (You can do it!!)

TIP #11- TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, RE-ENERGIZE, AND PROCEED: Approach your project at the times when you are at your highest energy levels, both physically and mentally.  Try to get enough sleep, eat properly, and try to exercise a bit to help ensure that you have sufficient energy reserves.

TIP #12- YOU DON’T NEED TO BE COMPLETELY READY: You don’t need to be completely ready Don’t always wait until you’re 100% prepared to embark on your project. Sometimes three fourths prepared is good enough to start the project, with the remaining one fourth coming along the way.

TIPS: Getting Started On Your Goal

Tip Days will be Tuesdays and Thursdays. This month of tips is devoted to Procrastination.

Here are a few ways to save while planning fun activities:

TIP #5- START SMALL: Don’t bite off more than you can chew!

TIP #6- JUST DO IT: Once you sit down and decide to attack a goal, and then actually start on your mission, the activity sort of feeds on itself.  It may be an old axiom, but a long journey does indeed begin with the first step.  Once that first step is taken it is that much easier to continue.  It’s like the law of inertia.  A body at rest tends to remain at rest.  However, a body in motion will have a tendency to continue in that motion.   So it is with people.  Once you take that first step in the right direction, it’s easy to continue.  Starting is the key.

Procrastination Weekly Challenge #1: Write Your Goal

WeeklyChallenge

I always believe goals are important. For me, goals are what keep me focused and driven.  Many times, however, even with my goals, I easily find myself floating along and acting more like a fish merely going with the tide. Veering off course is easy, or as in the example of the fish, sometimes it’s just as easy getting caught in the direction that life takes you.

Every day, you wake up and expect to accomplish a few simple things. Its so easy for many factors to get in the way. With so many distractions in the short-term, it’s easy to lose sight of one’s goals in the long run.  That’s why this week’s challenge is to WRITE DOWN your goal! Hang it in a place that you are likely to see it often as a constant reminder not to lose sight of your ultimate dream. Whether it is a simple goal that you’ve been pushing off, such as painting your room, or a larger goal, like being a world class pianist (or a famous cartoonist ;0) ), write down what you want to accomplish. Life is short, so it’s time to start getting to where you need to be.

1-Goal

A few amazing quotes that I think are very pertinent to reaching goals:

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it you will land among the brightest of stars” ~Les Brown

“The journey is the reward” ~Chinese Proverb

It is important to remember that there is more to a goal than just reaching it. Sometimes you never know where you will end up, and where you end up may exceed anything you originally expected. It may not be your original goal, but your final destination will have many good qualities in its own right. Plus, the journey to get anywhere will be something that stays with you for the rest of your life.

The day to day learning experiences, the discipline you demonstrate, they are forever within the person you are. So remember  THIS IS YOUR GOAL, write it down, hang it up, and begin. This is your Day One. Stay focused and get going, because wherever you end up will be great!
