TIPS: Think Before You Buy!

Tip Days will be Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our first month of tips will be devoted to Savings.

Here are a few ways to save BEFORE you make a purchase:

Adopt the “10 Second Rule”. When you are about to buy something, first count to ten slowly. Then ask yourself whether or not you should really spend money on that item. Ask yourself, “Do I really need it?”. Quite often the answer will be no.

TIP #14 – ACTUALLY…MAKE IT THIRTY: Corollary of the 10 Second Rule: Wait thirty days before purchasing an item. If you are able to wait thirty days before purchasing, the odds are you don’t really need the item. Plus the urge to buy the item may subside.

TIP #15 DRESS USING LESS: Learn how to dress minimally (no we’re not talking nudist colony here.). Buy versatile clothing (By that we mean buy clothes that can be mixed and matched) . This expands your wardrobe without spending too much.

Wednesdays and Fridays are recipe days! I’ll be posting recipes given to me by my next door neighbor, Chef Chumley. You can read more about him by clicking here. Come back tomorrow for another recipe!
